Welcome to The Paxton Centre


Situated in the grounds of the Homelands estate alongside the Homelands Trusts' 4 accessible self catering lodges The Paxton Centre is a community hub open to both guests on Homelands and everyone in the local community.

Our rooms are available for hire at very competitive rates to local commercial organisations and our medium and small room are free to use for meetings etc by local charities and voluntary organisations (rooms must be booked in advance). For more details please visit our room hire page.


At Homelands we are committed to accessibility, in the same way our self catering Lodges are specifically designed with accessibility in mind the Paxton Centre is also very accessible. We have a number of automatic extra wide doors throughout the building, there is a lift available for anyone who needs it to access the first floor and there is an accessible toilet on each floor. We also have a portable Geemarc hearing induction loop.

We are hiring! 

We are looking for a part-time Activities Coordinator to lead on an exciting project called Paxton Connexions. The Activities Coordinator will lead this pilot project to proactively reach lonely older people, people with disabilities (and their carers), and people living with dementia.
